Denbies

I lunched with friends today at Denbies, our local vineyard. It is much more than a vineyard, with two restaurants, an art gallery and an excellent gift shop. In the gift shop today, catching the sunlight, was this table of two of Denbies best loved wines, Surrey Gold and Chalk Ridge Rose, both worth a try if you spot them in a supermarket. Denbies wines consistently score well in competitions and blind tastings, with their sparkling wines being particularly fine. They are the largest vineyard in the UK.
Conversation flowed and we chatted for three hours! Sadly it was tea that loosened our tongues, rather than wine. Those that would have liked wine were driving and the passengers weren't interested!
