Gaada Stack, Foula

One of the risks of spending time on isolated little islands is that transport doesn't always run. I was due to head back to the Shetland mainland today, but the wind and waves meant that the mail boat wasn't able to operate.

The bonus is some more hours walking the cliffs of Foula. This is Gaada Stack – a dramatic sea stack just off the north coast of the island.
