I Think......

this could be a Long-Tailed Skua. One was reported to have been seen in the area where I took this shot. I have checked the RSPB site, and a couple of bird books, but can't be absolutely sure. They a quite rare.
The tail is not easy to see as it seems to blend with the sand, so best seen large.
Any birders out there able to help with I.D. would be greatly appreciated,
