Astrantia 'Ruby Star'

Work continues to rescue the pear tree bed, which we haven't tried to tackle before during the fourteen years we've lived here. Today I dug out two muck buckets worth of ivy root, and two barrow loads of blue lias stone. By the time I've finished I should have enough stone to build a raised pond - I'll just need Current Husband to learn bricklaying. I'm planting up as I go to keep myself motivated - today's star is this pretty astrantia, which is showing off in front of a nice heuchera and some summerina.
