Lift

Stepping into the lift earlier I noticed this mysterious button on the panel. Although an arts graduate I believe I recognise the 'infinity' sign. But I don't know what it's doing on a lift panel, nor why it's glowing a sinister red.
I haven't yet plucked up the courage to press it and see see where it leads.
