Underbelly

Thanks to everyone for the comments, stars and hearts given to my 500th blip yesterday that helped raise it to the heady heights of the spotlight.

Moving on. The Forth Road Bridge celebrated its 50th birthday today. As they wouldn't allow me to climb up it then the only way go was underneath and this is a view looking south towards Queensferry. Inspired by San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, it cost about £16m to build, a huge amount in 1964. You could probably win that amount of money on the Lottery today although you are more likely to be struck by lightning than that happening.

This is one of many things in Scotland that are younger than me and it's probably fair to say it's more useful.
