the light at the end of the tunnel

had a gorgeous family day today. a beautiful walk from the house this morning, through the fields and sunflower patches and met the donkeys that live a field away, bella was feeding them handfuls of grass, laurie almost but didn't quite stroke them...maybe next time. met a new neighbour and the kids had a bounce on his trampoline. afternoon trip to the sweetie shop then explored a new beach, to get to which you have to go though this very long, rather dark, quite scary tunnel. the kids were quite scared but bravely went through holding their dad's hand.

felt very happy all day. one of those days where the kids are easy and fun and not tearing each others hair out, and i feel lucky to have my life.
