Simpson's Donkey

Caboolture Historial Village hosted the Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Commencement of the First World War.
The 11th Light Horse Troop and Military Museum put on a parade.

The story of Simpson and his Donkey caught my attention. During his 25 days in service, he rescued 300 mens on the shore of Anzac Cove (26th Apr - 19th May 1915).
Private Jack Simpson was recommended for a Victoria Cross award but was denied.
