Playing the waves

Kayakers and boogie boarders were on the Hawea River waves today. This part of the river has been designed especially to provide two water jumps with the waves curling back in. It is used for competitions.

This girl was very good: she must be tough as she had no gloves ! We had a good frosts this morning so the water was cold- but the air temp was ok.
