Spring in the Bush (Margaret River)

We are thrilled how the bush is recovering after the massive 2,000 hectare bushfire that went through 2 and a half years ago. It went through our seven acres and the top floor of our house.

This picture shows the splendid regrowth where plants are basically fighting for space. A complete difference to the lunar landscape that we had to work with after the fire. TRY LARGE

The Wattle is absolutely glorious and very widespread with the White Star Jasmine, the purple Happy Wanderer and the Red/orange Pea Creeper all making a colourful display. More pictures here on Flickr Wildflowers at Margaret River

This is a happy start to Spring. Later on the smaller flowers like native orchids will start to bloom. Our block is 7 acres of all coastal heath.

Every cloud has a silver lining although sometimes they take a while to appear!

Have a lovely week.
