Kota Kinabulu market

Although the cool air of the mountain was refreshing, we are disappointed by our options in Sabah.

It feels to commercial and expensive for our tastes and budget. It is not really us, and we want to make the most of our trip. Plus Lina has a dream of seeing an orangutan and me too!

We decided to move further south to Sarawak Borneo, a place I have visited before that is a little less developed, a little more accessible and close to a world famous Orangutan sanctuary offering us one of the best chances of seeing these ginger apes short of charting an expedition.
