CrocusMan

All it takes

is a little warm sunshine .... and yesterdays bud is todays flower.

Crocus kotschyanus, note the distinctive 'bird in flight' markings in the throat of the flower. Native to mountain meadows in Turkey, Lebanon and Syria, many forms adapt well to cultivation in UK gardens. As shown yesterday, this one is planted out, unprotected, in a raised bed.

In other news, following a rather trying August, September has started with the need to replace our old car after the MOT threw up a few unexpected issues. Although when the weather is this good you cannot be gloomy for long :-)
