The Hut on the Moor

This is the hut that we have been lucky enough to be able to enjoy for over 30 years. The water comes from a spring, there is gas from a bottle, but no electricity. The picture was taken early in the morning as we were departing to call in to see my father at his new flat in Taunton. A horseshoe is just visible on the wall. The surrounding fields presently house 9 Clydesdale Shire horses, which are used for long treks. They have a well earned reputation for brushing against cars, removing wing mirrors, leaning on boots and denting them. We parked our car by the gate outside the field.
