'The bittersweetness of uncertainty' - Mark Zusak

I sat in a different park today. Watched the world try to keep track of its kids, as families ill-advisedly sat down near a fountain, which of course has some sort of magnetic field for the little squirts. ;)

A bunch of toddlers lost their ball in its depths and their nanny ended up using a scooter to coax it out.

Carried on with the translation. Made better progress.

Hearing The Book Thief was being adapted, Hanna and I decided to see it together in the cinema, but time was tight when I was visiting home then because final year gets in the way.

We finally rented on DVD today. Hanna's house felt like that warm moment just after a summer breeze has passed. Open doors and windows and an early evening glow.

This was an empty train carriage on the way home. I was simultaneously a little anxious and comforted, no prizes for guessing where that feeling comes from.

It felt like the husk of something, a little unnatural.
