Bamboo Buds and Billions of Bees

Well maybe not billions... but hundreds would wouldn't be stretching it.

Down the street from us a neighbor has a patch of bamboo that is in bloom. And man, oh man, the bees go crazy for this stuff!! As I stood on the fringe taking pictures with my macro lens, bees were bouncing off my head! (They were far too interested in the flowers to be a threat to me, but it was a little hard to remember not to swat at them... that would have been a disaster.) I have a few other shots that I really liked, but I decided not to posted any to Flickr, as I'm sure I will be blipping more from this spot very soon. I'd hate to over do it... But I make no promises. ;-)
