Valentines Day

My favourite rose is the yellow rose, this stems from childhood where my Granny had a yellow rose bush growing outside her back door which had the most beautiful smelling flowers I have ever smelt. The rose bush and my Granny have long since gone unfortunately, but every year on Valentines day instead of the customary red rose my boyfriend always buys me a long stem yellow rose, which I love. I don't think he knows the reason why I love them so much, but it's just another thing in life that makes me feel a special connection to people that I love.
