Morraine Lake in Banff

Awesome day! Hiked down Morraine Lake then up a rock pile at the outlet where this photo was taken. Got there early enough that we're actually able to park in the lot. When we left there were cars parked a mile down the road and it was closed to newcomers. From there we drove up to Lake Louise and there were cars parked at least a mile away. It I spotted a paid parking sign at the lodge so we were able to park there. Hiked down to the end of the lake, beautiful! Got to watch some rock climbers too. Then back to the lodge for lunch. We had a table next to the window with a spectacular view and had a great lunch quiche, salad, and soup. After expecting to pay a fortune for parking it turned out to be free because we had lunch there! After lunch we headed down to Radium stopping at Marble Canyon for another awesome hike. A short scenic drive later we checked into our room at Big Horn Meadow resort, had a light dinner of cheese, smoked fish, cashews, and a beer and turned in early.
