My Aim is True

The Old Ladies' Shop

We always call this The Old Ladies's Shop. It's actually The Royal Edinburgh Repository and Self-aid Society.

And if you are after some genteel service, tea towels, a knitted teletubbie, an embroidered hankerchief or a wee dolly with a crocheted skirt to sit over your loo roll then this is the place to go.

And if you want some great home baking, you can get some very tasty things here (I am sure there may even be some pople who have passed it off as their own baking, ahem, tsk, tsk, shame on them).

Anyone who knows this place will know that , of course, there is no website; in fact the old dears are still getting to grips with their recently installed computerised till. I think up until a few months back all transactions seemed to be recorded in a jotter.

It's such a great wee shop, staffed by lovely folk, that I even forgive them their spelling mistake and random Use of Upper-case.
