Scrumptious Cuckoo's Cupcakes

Our last day in Edinburgh since we are driving to Cullen tonight.
We did a bit of shopping, photographed the Floral Clock in Princes Street Gardens, had a spicy chili dog for lunch, went to see an exhibition of photographs at the Edinburgh Photographic Society in Great King Street and then, before going to SixT to pick up our rental car, we were so very lucky to stumble upon the Cuckoo's Bakery in Dundas Street. I had been following this bakery on Facebook since we decided to travel to Edinburgh but hadn't really made it a priority to find it, so I was very happy to find it by chance and we decided to try four different types of cupcakes. They were all delicious, but the one with raspberries and white chocolate was my favourite (seems like it also won an award for "Best Cake in Scotland"!!). Great selection of quality tea and coffee too.

We drove out of Edinburgh around 17:00, had dinner in a little place called The Grill in Newtonmore (where I got fish & chips and Daníel and Kári got haggis with mashed potatoes).
We arrived at The Elms Guesthouse at 22:00 where Roy greeted us and we quickly got comfortable in two lovely bedrooms.
