Our Dexters

I have blipped in the past about the small herd of yearling Dexter cows that summer in the field next to our home.
We actually help the farmer by having the electric fence control box and batteries on our property - secure behind a hedge and fence. This is because they are high value items and two sets were stolen on two consecutive nights a couple of years ago.
So, today, Bill and Carole the partnership cattle owners treated Fiona and me to a pub lunch as a thank-you, and then we toured the farm to meet the fine bull and the rest of the 63 pedigree (and prize-winning) herd. We learned that there are short- and long-legged Dexters in this pedigree.
So a nice day out and much to learn. This lovingly restored A30 van belongs to Shane, Carole's son.
