Aysgill Force

Today we decided to walk from the cottage and we headed across to Aysgill Force, the route took us along country lanes and farm tracks, with only one slight mistake where we missed a junction as it wasn't signposted! We soon realized our mistake and we were once again strolling through meadows past stone barns. We soon headed into an area of woodland next to Gayle Beck, and then suddenly there was a drop away and Aysgill Force was revealed in it's subtle, sun dappled glory.

After lunch we walked down into Hawes to get some provisions, which included some Wensleydale sausages, and some more Black Sheep Ale (Velo). We had an ice cream on the way back. Then we spent a lazy couple hours in the garden reading.
