An oasis of calm

I nipped into the ruined Abbey of Deer about five this evening on my way home from work. It was a spur of the moment decision to take five minutes out in one of my favourite places. The light was amazing, as the forecast "Indian Summer" had arrived. Well at least one day of it! I had the place to myself as usual, and it worked its magic within moments. The atmosphere these ancient stones create is palpable, the stillness never fails to calm my soul. I should go more often.
