Skating

First let me preface this entry by saying, happy Valentine's Day!

Our day was low key and we decided to take a family skating trip. There is a place that has a fantastic setup. They have a a couple of huts next to a pond with warm fires, comfort food and multiple kid friendly skating accessories. My favorite things are the sleds pictured in the distance here that little ones can sit in while adults push. They also have milk crates for new skaters to use for balance.

We had a good time except the the youngest TMG wanted nothing to do with skating. He enjoyed running around and watching, but refused to participate in any on ice activities. We took turns chasing the little guy while the other parent skated with his older brother. The older TMG really enjoyed the experience and liked both riding in the sled and pushing the milk crates. He did a great job. Hopefully in a year, his younger brother will be equally amenable.

I took this shot because I was enamored with the sky. The weather was relatively warm and overcast, and the sky had that threatening quality which I tried to capture. I purposefull exposed for the sky knowing that the skaters would be under exposed.
