When traveling with small children, it's helpful to let them get all the exercise they can while they're out of the car, so they can rest and be calm during the long hours of travel across this vast continent. This child of about Bella's age was allowed to ride her little push-bike all around Mammoth Hot Springs, and she was very good at hauling it up and down stairs by herself. She and her parents spoke German with each other.
