After 37 years of work, Javier left Amnesty International. A band played and there was dancing on the way to the pub.

Today is also the anniversary of the coup in Chile that brought dictator Pinochet to power and without Javier, there wouldn't have been the landmark court case to attempt to bring him to justice for all the murders and disappearances he was responsible for.
