A view of Lysbotn, Norway

This is the view from the restaurant where we ate lunch - at the tippy top of a mountain overlooking Lysfjord. The restaurant is called the Eagle's Nest. It was a serpentine drive to get there and then another serpentine drive to get to the bottom. There is a ferry that runs twice a day during the week from this town into a bigger town called Stavanger. We had a traditional Norwegian lunch of meatballs, potatoes, and mashed peas - delicious.

Tomorrow we are heading back to Denmark by ferry. Then on to Broholm Castle for the night. We are hoping to arrive in time for high tea. We only have two more days for this spectacular vacation - looking forward to being home, especially to see Riley, but also very sad to be leaving such a magnificent part of the world.
