Autumn Crocuses

Colchicum autumnale, commonly known as autumn crocus, meadow saffron or naked lady, is a flower that resembles the true crocuses, but blooms in autumn.

I found these flowers growing at the bottom of my garden years ago and although I haven't cultivated them they keep appearing, and every year I take a photo of them. This is this year's photo. Lovely day here and the garden is getting lots of attention - clearing nettles, weeding and, of course, sitting watching them grow!
