Thermal pool, microbial mat

I was so entranced by these colors that I gave up photographing my usual subjects and gave myself to the play of composition and color. That this should occur on the face of the earth, that nature should arrange herself in these patterns, textures, and colors: is marvelous to behold. I've already posted this in the other place, but it's my favorite picture of this day, a day when I took few pictures. Nothing much to say about it, so comments off. Feel free to move along. One more back blip coming and then I'm caught up.
