Red in Focus

I've been out on field work again this week and as the summer has progressed, I've watched the plants bloom and grow.

Autumn is arriving and I especially noticed how many of the rowan trees are currently in berry. The fruits are such a vibrant red and provide such a contrast to the surrounding vegetation. I'm sure they won't be there for long though, the birds will soon eat them!
