Kueh Lapis

Multi-layered spice cake from Singapore. Our first meal together since #2 returned last weekend. He brought home several slices of this dessert. A chance to catch up on his holiday there, which seems to have been one delicious meal after another.

Kueh Lapis is expensive to buy, as it takes a long time to make. Each wafer thin layer is individually baked and grilled. Moist, rich, tasting of cinnamon.
