School of Xicheng

Now that I am teaching I have been too busy to think too much about blipping. I took this on Thursday on my phone. Although it is no masterpiece it does sum up how I've spent the week ducking from classroom to classroom doing the same lessons about ten times to 40 kids at a time. It's been hard and at some points when things weren't going well it's been pretty dreadful but I'm getting a handle on what they know and how to pitch the lessons and it is getting easier. I'll probably be loving it by Christmas.

I love the English names the kids give themselves. In one class I have a Lion a Tiger and a Jerry. I said Jerry needs to watch out for the big cats!
