The annual commemoration of Polish RAF pilots who died defending this country took place at lunchtime at the Polish War Memorial in west London.

RAF Northolt was home to Polish fighter squadrons during the Second World War, including the famous 303 Squadron, the top scoring squadron in the Battle of Britain.

A flypast of a Spitfire aircraft brought the ceremony to a close.
