What a difference eyes make! Never mind that the ears are just pinned on, not in their correct places, at the moment. Doesn't it look a blushing, bashful little piggie! No it doesn't! It's a hulking great Large Black boar! And given that these pigs are to hang from the ceiling of the Market Hall, and therefore viewed principally from underneath, this poses problems, for boars are conspicuous in their attributes, and we don't want those inhabitants of Abergavenny with refined sensibilities fainting from shock and embarrassment, do we?
