Penultimate night at the PROMS

A good bit of pomp and oompah with the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orechestra playing Beethoven's 9th for Prom 75.

Considered by some to be Beethoven's finest work or even 'the greatest piece of music ever written', it has a bit of everything in it - Choral, Operatic, Symphonic and even Waltz.

For this occasion I think they had to trim the orchestra a little to fit it on the stage which was evident in the bigger triumphant sections, but the choir made up and nicely lifted the lid on Albert's splendid old shed.
