Slim Pickings

Harvesting our potato crop from the garden was pretty depressing.
I was pulling up entire plants with rotten slug eaten tubers.
The soil is solid clay and almost everything I have tried to grow in it is stunted and deformed (if it grows at all)
I have put in some raised beds which do much better, but we will be focusing on the new allotment next year and just growing flowers and herbs in the garden.
We might even throw a couple of pots from the soil!'
