Sunday Lunch...or Food Porn?!

A busy day so just a quick blip.

This is our Sunday "roast" done to our favourite recipe. We boil the gammon with bay leaves for the vast majority of its cooking time (this ensures it remains nice and moist). Then we trim off any skin, leaving a thin layer of fat, score the fat and liberally smear it with demerara sugar. Then we stick in some cloves and roast it in a fairly hot oven for 15-20 mins. Delicious, especially when served with a leek and nutmeg sauce!
