Canal Basin

Headed out for a long cycle today to continue (or re-kick start) my training for the Vet Charity Challenge at the end of the month.

Decided on the Union Canal towpath. Joined this in Winchburgh and headed to Linlithgow (where picture was taken), then Falkirk and finally the Falkirk Wheel.

Got the train back to Edinburgh and another back to Uphall for the final cycle home. My legs had almost given up at this point and the uphill cycle back to the house was hard going and very slow.

Total distance today was 56km or approx. 34.5 miles.
