The Way Down

A grey start to the day, with a little drizzle on the way up to Scandale Pass from Brotherswater. The cloud had lifted as we walked up to Little Hart Crag and across black brow to Dove Crag where we had lunch with views down Dovedale to Brotherswater. As we reached Hart Crag the cloud had come down and we found ourselves in the mist on the top, time to come down !

We soon came out of the cloud as we scrambled our way down Hart Crag and along the ridge of Hartsop above How with stunning views all the way down. By the time we arrived back at Brotherswater there was little patches of blue in the sky.

Although this was for me a tough walk I enjoyed every minuet, the 360 views of the mountains and lakes are just breathtaking. This is the view looking down the ridge at Hartsop above How.
