Brooklyn streets ...

What a spectacular morning for a long run ... the stifling NY humidity has disappeared and been replaced by a slight nip in the air.

One of my favourite places to explore on my runs is DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass), this little pocket of old warehouses that have been transformed into hip workspaces, tech geek hangouts, art galleries and apartments with iconic views of the NY skyline.

Unfortunately a lot of the original cobblestone streets are being replaced in an effort to make it more bike friendly. In a move of bureaucratic ingenuity, they are being replaced by machine-cut cobbles of uniform size, that are then aged artificially!
