Caterpiller

Butterfly larva that I cannot identify even after looking at lots of images on Google. I'm not a lepidopterist (another word I have to add to the useless spell-checker). Why don't I get out of the house and go to the Butterfly Lodge Museum at Greer? That's a good idea, Alan; why didn't you think of that before?

I should have blipped a finger alongside it for scale comparison as it was about four to five inches long and wasn't much narrower in girth as the pinkie of my left hand.
