School Fees

We have a programme where we pay some or all school fees for selected girls.
We have a fund from St Anthony's Parish in Clontarf, Dublin to enable us.
Here Alepher and Linda are interviewing some girls proposed by their school.
We interview parents, students and schools to get a picture of financial need, as all Malawian Second Level Schools are fee paying.

We are interested in supporting hard working girls whose parents or grandparents are too poor to pay the fees.. We are not interested in spectacular results, just ordinary achievers, who have the spirit and vision to succeed, AND they must have qualified for State Secondary Schools. We do not pay fees in private schools.

Every day a girl spends in secondary school gives them a better chance. They will regularly bring up their children as school goers. They will value education and many times teach a whole village.

We are hoping to have about 80 girls in the programme. Of course we follow up on progress, act as the guardians, have home, school meetings on results and generally work in loco parentis
