Mia's 1st Day of her 2nd Yr. at Dodge

Today was Mia's first day back to preschool. She has all of the same teachers as last year and many of the same classmates. While we were snapping the first day shots, we found a finger-shaped fungus in our yard. I thought it was a toy, but when I went to move it, it came free, so Mia brought it with her to observe it under the magnifying glass.

While at school, she found a pumpkin on their hike and brought it back to the building to "decorate." She also discovered some giant sunflowers in the community garden, made a painting with layers and layers of blue, and played with home-made play-dough.

Some things to remember for 1st day shots: 1. Always dress the kids to coordinate with black-eyed susans and 2. Stop positioning the kids in front of the light pole!
