Would the last person turn off the lights please?

Two families remain in houses in this group of tenement buildings in the suburbs of Eastern Edinburgh. Living there at night must be terrifying at night as it seems totally isolated - anything could happen.
Who could imagine that under a mile away from this landscape that borders on looking like a warzone lies the Scottish Parliament, which has already amassed costs in excess of £700 million - apologies if i seem to being going on the same point, but surely one politician from any party could have gone in there and demanded action
