Stones of the Millenium

Went to visit the stone circle erected as part of the town's contributions to marking the new Millenium. Last time I was here was perhaps 8 years ago when it was all still very new and odd looking; the stones unblemished by weather, moss or lichen but already heavily graffitied, the trees knee high saplings in ordered lines. Since then I'm happy to report it has matured well, the little wood has grown quite dense, the winding path makes it feel much larger than it actually is and the stones themselves in their little clearing feel part of the landscape. No sign of graffiti either....just the odd little deposit of Wiccan offerings.
