An aye for an aye.

These weary refugees from the '45 rebellion were wending their way back to the bus station in Edinburgh to catch a bus back to Inverness after a hard day's campaigning for the 'Yes' vote on Thursday.

Not unexpectedly, given their taste in clothes, they have been filmed and interview on numerous occasions today by television film crews from as far afield as the USA, Japan and most other places you can think of. Funnily enough, they haven't been interviewed by the BBC. I just hope that the viewers from around the world aren't confused by their Canadian accents. Apparently Flora and Charlie felt strongly enough about the referendum that they moved over here to make sure they could vote in it. I suppose it's more than Sean Connery has done.

I'm not altogether convinced that this is the image the 'Yes' campaign are keen to be seen endorsing as the Jacobites managed to get themselves well and truly beaten by the government forces at Culloden. I thought this campaign was all about a bright future in a modern, forward looking independent Scotland.

Still, whatever catches the attention must be a good thing at this stage of the campaign. I think they will be voting Yes.

Song.
