Duckweed

Many of the small ponds around here are covered in a bright green blanket of Duckweed (Lemnoideae is a more scientific name). When I Google duckweed I find many links about Duckweed Control. I would imagine this is a problem if you have a pond in your yard. In the country, however, I think it is very pretty, almost a chartreuse when the sun shines on it.
We are in the midst of some beautiful weather with summer coming to an end.
