Milwaukee Art Museum

Another beautiful day today! Got lots of things done this morning, & I met my friend for a late lunch at Harbor House, which is right on the Lakefront, just across the harbor from the Art Museum which I've photographed here. The Art Museum has a collection of over 30,000 works of art, housing both permanent collections & a variety of changing special exhibitions throughout the year. It was designed by Santiago Calatrava & opened in 2001. It has a moveable, wing-like brise soleil which opens up for a wingspan of 217 feet during the day, & folds down over the tall arched structure at night or during bad weather. Quite the showplace on the shores of Lake Michigan! :)
