Topsy turvy world

This little bee is having his meal while hanging upside down on the large sunflower. This sunflower is one of the long line of sunflowers that border one edge of our vegetable garden. Behind them is a line of fir trees, so the sunflowers are always pointing away to find the sun.

We had a beautiful day - mild temperature and lots of sun. I'm still catching up with housework and yard work that piled up during our vacation. A friend is coming to stay for the weekend, so I still have tidying and cleaning to do. The best news is that she's bringing a chocolate cake with peanut butter icing!
