The Pleasure of Creation

My 'documented life challenge' for this week was to add a feather to my journal.

I created a paper montage background and then sketched a feather which was used to mask an area on the page before covering it with white gesso.

I then removed the mask and added ink definition to the feather and the text 'the pain of self pity v the pleasure of creation'

I really dislike the page and will probably cover it all with another layer of white.

I was reading a post on 'art journal failure' earlier in the week.

So true that "what matters in the end, is that you've found something that you enjoy doing"

This applies equally to my blip journal. The main purpose of both is for my own enjoyment.
