Scotland Decides

Well, that's voting nearly over in the biggest and best election I can ever remember. Whatever the outcome, people were energised and there has been a great feeling around Edinburgh with no hint of animosity. We were asked to blip a polling station, so I blipped 2, the ones in Fountainbridge and Roseburn Primary School. I also added some shots from around the Parliament, where it was really relaxed. There were people playing Celtic music, and where the Yes far outweighed the No people. The latter rather apologetically on the other side of the road nearer the Palace of Holyrood and also some others, who unusually for the No campaign also had a Saltire, as well as the Union Flag. There was no name calling or aggro; it made you proud to be Scottish.
We voted this evening, and the turnout seemed quite good and there was a steady stream of people coming in. Let's see what tomorrow brings.
